Nick is Joe's very best friend since American University and the person Joe can truly count on in all things.

He is, in fact, more than a best friend, he is Joe's mentor, confidant, and brother. He has already been there for him and John -- through joyful and challenging times. He, his wife Jenn, daughters Gloria, Scarlet, Hazel, and Grace are Joe's family. Nick has been so generous with his time and his family that Joe considers their friendship a true blessing and gift from God. Joe loves him like a brother and there is no one else whom he would ask to be his best man.

Grant

Grant is one of Joe’s oldest and dearest friends from high school. A true mensch, Grant is one of the kindest, humblest, and caring persons he knows. Grant and his wife Nicole have been true blessings in Joe and John’s life. The couple have shared many memories together with Joe and John, and they are so grateful for the time spent with the extended Tunkel family.

Jenn

Jenn has been a friend and family to Joe for fifteen years. She is poise and grace and always willing to be there for Joe and John when life throws a curveball. Jenn is the cornerstone in the couples' lives. Wife to Nick, and mother to daughters Gloria, Scarlet, Hazel, and Grace, she has been part of their lives for so long, and at so many important moments, that we couldn't imagine this day without her.

Carly

Carly is Joe's sister (for all intents and purposes). She, just like her brother Nick, have been part of Joe's life through all of their ups and downs. Carly is a remarkable woman in Joe and John's life. She is a source of inspiration for those around her. She is someone that the couple has come to rely on and loves deeply.

Kevin

Kevin has been there for Joe through thick and thin since their days at American University. A member of their fraternity's same Sigma class, he has been someone Joe could rely on and share a laugh. He has been a counselor and a friend, and a companion whom, just like Joe and John, enjoy travelling, good food and drink. Kevin, and his wife Emily and son Beckett, are a much celebrated part of Joe and John's life.

Bobby

Best Man

Bobby and John first met in law school and John’s first remark to him was a sassy quip about Bobby’s home town. Despite that fact, their friendship grew into one of trust, admiration, and support. The archetype white guy podcast host-wannabes, the two will spend hours contemplating the world’s challenges, struggles, and success stories. Bobby and his incredible wife, Nikki, are anchors in John’s life and we could not be happier to have him celebrate this milestone with us.

Nikki

Nikki and John’s friendship grew through our mutual admiration of her husband, Bobby. Though not the fastest of friends right out of the gate, they eventually came to see each other as true kindred spirits who shared a love of doodles, Taylor Swift, and harmless gossip. With her support, John was able to navigate through some of the most challenging journeys of his life and he is all the better for knowing her.

April

April is John’s sister and has known him longer than anyone else in the wedding party. Her and John have navigated enormous challenges, achievements, and milestones together. She has been at John’s side for every accomplishment of his life. She has served as a model for both Joe and John as to how a spouse can truly be a partner and ally for another. While some of their family will not be able to be present for our celebrations, we are truly blessed to have April’s love and support on this momentous occasion.

Samantha

Groomsman

Samantha’s is John’s baby sister. Their childhood relationship was one of bickering and teasing, while their adult relationship can be described as open and loving. Her love of K-pop is legendary and she can always be relied on as being an amazing aunt to her niece and nephew. John is extremely proud of Samantha and the woman she has grown to be. While some of their family will not be able to be present for our celebrations, we are truly blessed to have Samantha’s love and support on this momentous occasion.

Christian

Christian and John share the immense bond and pleasure of marrying into Joe’s family. They are found brothers who always look to each other for assurance and compassion during the most extreme shenanigans. Christian is an example of strength, stability, and courage for both Joe and John. We both feel extremely lucky to have him in our lives and John especially loves to have him stand by his side lest Joe try to steal him away.

Jacqueline Tunkel

Mrs. Jacqueline Tunkel and her husband Jeff have provided John and Joe wise counsel, love, and support over the years. They have showed the couple true love and affection and have a special place in their hearts. Jacqueline, in addition to be a loving mother and wife, is an organizer and community leader. It is fitting for Jacqueline to oversee the couples' nuptials as they start the next chapter of their lives together.

Gloria

Gloria is Nick and Jenn's oldest and one of the strongest young ladies they know. Her passion knows no bounds and ranges from sports to literature to chess.

Scarlet

Flower Girl

Scarlet is Joe's goddaughter and someone with a heart of gold. She takes great pride in caring for her sisters and her cousin, Fitz, and is a wiz at any task she puts her mind to.

Mila

Mila is John’s niece and a marvel of his eye. An avid reader, fan of Bluey, and child of faith, she is the most glowing member of the Robinson clan. John is incredibly proud of her intellect and compassion for others. One of John and Joe’s favorite parts of traveling is collecting mementos for her on their travels. Mila is as precocious as her grandmother, Mary, and we are truly excited for her to have this opportunity to join us on this adventure.

Hazel

Flower Girl

Hazel is Nick and Jenn's third bundle of joy and is something of a wild one. She is the life of any family get-together and always filling a room with her smile and infectious laugh.

Grace

Flower Girl

Grace is the youngest of the Johnson clan (by only a few minutes to her twin sister Hazel) and is so very much precious and precocious. She gives the best hugs and can always make her uncles smile.

Fitz

Ringbearer

Fitz is the son of Carly and Christian and a ball of giggles. The couple loves spending time with their nephew, which is only bested by the kisses that Louis bestows upon him.

Noah

Noah is John’s nephew and the youngest of the Robinson clan. We love watching Noah grow, learn, and cause accidents at an alarming rate. Noah is the spitting image of his grandfather and John’s father, Scott, and we look forward to having him included in our momentous occasion.

Best Dog

Louis is our pride and joy. He is a spoiled 68lb goldendoodle, who, not joining us physically, will leave his touches on our wedding and be with us in spirit. He is an avid predator of squirrels and recipient of affection and treats - while allergic to chicken, he accepts liver bites and Apple Pay. Look out for his special touches on our big day!
